Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Head of Transport Management Department (Nghe An Department of Transport) said: This year's National Day holiday on September 2nd is a 3-day holiday, so the number of passengers traveling on the Vinh - Hanoi and Vinh - Da Nang routes will increase. Therefore, in order to ensure convenient travel for people and avoid overcrowding due to a shortage of vehicles during the holiday, we have arranged and increased the number of more than 100 passenger vehicles.

In addition to increasing the number of passenger cars, we have also asked transport companies not to increase ticket prices against regulations. Up to this point, no company has proposed to increase ticket prices during the September 2 holiday, Mr. Hung added.

It is known that during the 2/9 holiday this year, there are 3 days off, and it is close to the 15th day of the 7th lunar month, so the number of passengers from Hanoi to their hometown Nghe An will increase.

Previously, on August 26, 2017, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 26/CD - UBND on strengthening traffic safety and order during the National Day holiday on September 2, requesting relevant agencies and units to develop a plan to increase passenger transport capacity, renovate bus stations and airports, and innovate ticket sales methods to facilitate passengers. Maximize the need for transportation, especially at traffic hubs; minimize congestion at bus stations and train stations. Strengthen measures to manage passenger transport activities, educate drivers to comply with traffic rules, and prevent and stop accidents involving passenger vehicles.

The police force continues to maintain and expand special task forces in coordination with other forces (including commune-level police) to increase patrols and controls on key routes 24/7 to detect and strictly handle violations of traffic safety order, especially passenger cars and taxis that do not ensure technical safety of vehicles, speeding and reckless driving. Increase patrols, focus on mobile patrols, detect and strictly handle violations of traffic safety order, especially speeding, carrying more people than prescribed (both by road and by waterway)...
