Nghe An: Police Major returns nearly 30 million VND worth of property to female tourist who lost it
(Baonghean.vn) - Ms. Tran Thi Thuan, residing in Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi City, sent a letter of thanks to the Director of Nghe An Provincial Police and Thu Thuy Ward Police, Cua Lo Town.
In the Thank You Letter, Ms. Thuan expressed her deep gratitude to the officers and soldiers of Thu Thuy Ward Police, Cua Lo Town for returning her lost property while traveling at Cua Lo beach.
Previously, on the morning of July 19, 2020, Ms. Thuan went to Cua Lo town for sightseeing. At 3:30 p.m. the same day, on the way back to the hotel, Ms. Thuan dropped a handbag containing 2 mobile phones and 1 wristwatch, worth nearly 30 million VND in total. After dropping her belongings, she searched for many hours but to no avail.

At 7:00 p.m. on July 19, 2020, she was met by Major Nguyen Manh Hung, an officer of Thu Thuy Ward Police, and invited to the unit headquarters to verify the handbag. After determining that Ms. Thuan had dropped the handbag and the property, Major Nguyen Manh Hung completed the procedures to return the property to the citizen in accordance with regulations.
Major Nguyen Manh Hung said: On the evening of July 19, 2020, after patrolling and on his way back to his unit, he picked up a handbag that had been dropped on Binh Minh Street. When he checked, he found that the property inside included 2 mobile phones and 1 watch, so he brought it back to his unit. After verifying and knowing exactly that it was the property that Ms. Tran Thi Thuan had dropped, he tried to contact her to return it.
