Nghe An unifies direction for handling complicated and prolonged cases
(Baonghean.vn) - The Nghe An Internal Affairs Bloc Conference in February 2021 agreed to request strict direction to ensure security and order, not to let hot spots occur at the grassroots level, especially during the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels.
On the morning of March 1, the February Internal Affairs Bloc meeting took place. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting. Attending were comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Hong Vinh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ho Le Ngoc - Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

After assessing the implementation of the work of the departments, branches and units of the Internal Affairs Bloc, the conference determined that in the coming time, the Covid-19 epidemic situation will continue to develop complicatedly and last for a long time, greatly affecting the socio-economic situation. Therefore, Party committees and authorities at all levels focus on leading the comprehensive implementation of national defense and military work; strengthen accurate forecasts of the situation and security and order issues in the area to have plans to ensure political security, social order and safety, especially during the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels; and prevent the emergence of hot spots and complications at the grassroots level.
At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee made recommendations on handling a number of complicated and long-standing cases that have received public attention and that the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee has monitored and directed. For example, the case of violations at the project to build a commercial complex and high-end apartments in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city, invested by Minh Khang Company Limited; the case of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences" related to compensation and site clearance for the Nghi Kim - Nghi Van drainage canal project and handling the case of "enforcing the judgment to hand over assets for auction in Do Luong district" to ensure compliance with legal regulations, ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of citizens. Or the case related to the issuance of a land use right certificate for Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy's family in Vinh city; the case related to violations at the Provincial Ethnic Committee...

Previously, information at the conference showed that in February, there were 70 cases of crimes against social order, killing 2 people, injuring 29 people, and causing property damage of about 530 million VND. Typically, Vinh City Police arrested 6 subjects for fraud, property appropriation, and consumption of property obtained by others through crime, and seized 14 cars of various types worth about 10 billion VND. Drug crimes were detected and arrested in 94 cases, 148 subjects, and seized 17 cakes and 735 grams of heroin, 20,764 synthetic drug pills, 118 kg of crystal meth, and 24.4 kg of opium. Typically, Tan Ky District Police arrested a subject illegally transporting drugs, seizing 996 grams of drugs and 12,000 synthetic drug pills.
In February, the authorities also detected 959 cases, 1,073 violations of economic and environmental management order; seized 17.6 kg of explosives, 707 kg of firecrackers and many smuggled goods worth more than half a billion VND. In February 2021, there were 17 traffic accidents, killing 14 people and injuring 11 people. The Market Management force discovered 14,392 kg of animal products of unknown origin.
