Nghe An: Highlights of June 14th

* June 13th (local time)Nghe An Provincial DelegationA delegation led by Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation - held a working meeting with the West London Chamber of Commerce (WLCC), United Kingdom.

During the meeting, the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Thai Thanh Quy, stated: Based on the strategic partnership between the two countries, Nghe An province has actively implemented cooperation activities with British partners in recent years.

However, cooperation between Nghe An and the UK remains modest. In terms of FDI, there are currently only two projects from British investors, with a total registered investment capital of 4.04 million USD.

Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy expressed hope that, through this event, the West London Chamber of Commerce would help convey information about Nghe An province to the British business community, creating opportunities for businesses in the UK to explore cooperation and investment opportunities.

* On the morning of June 14th, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired a working session aimed atRemoving obstacles and difficultiesduring the implementation of the Tho Loc Industrial Park Project, Phase I.

To ensure the timely handover of land to investors for project implementation, in the coming period, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requests Dien Chau district to continue focusing on and prioritizing land clearance for the Tho Loc Industrial Park Project, Phase I.

Dien Chau District needs to strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to gain people's consensus and support in order to complete the approval of the compensation and land clearance plan for the entire project, striving to complete it before September 30, 2024; paying compensation to people before October 15, and handing over the entire project site before October 30, 2024.

* The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued a report on...teacher staffing needsThe 2024-2025 academic year report will be submitted to the Central Organizing Committee, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Education and Training.

In fact, compared to the staffing quotas for teachers/classes and students/classes as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training, Nghe An province is currently short 7,712 positions in the education sector.

In preparation for the 2024-2025 school year, to ensure sufficient teachers are available as required, the Provincial People's Committee has requested the Ministry of Interior to allocate an additional 6,501 positions to the province. This includes 1,688 positions for preschool education, 2,692 for primary education, 1,795 for lower secondary education, and 326 for upper secondary education.
