The planning target for the period 2021-2030 is for Vinh International Airport to achieve airport classification 4E (according to the International Civil Aviation Organization - ICAO standard code); with a capacity of approximately 8 million passengers/year and 25,000 tons of cargo/year.
The aircraft types operated are code C aircraft such as A320/A321 and equivalent, and code E aircraft such as B747/B777/B787/A350 and equivalent.
