Nghe An: 1.4 tons of buffalo skin of unknown origin seized on a truck with Lao license plate
(Baonghean.vn)- A passenger bus with a Lao license plate carrying buffalo hides of unknown origin was recently discovered and seized by authorities.
At around 10:00 p.m. on July 14, at km 650+200 of the Ho Chi Minh trail in Dong Hieu commune (Thai Hoa town), the working group of the Environmental Police Department and the Economic Police Department coordinated with Traffic Police Team No. 3 - Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Police) to discover a truck (Laos) with license plate UN 0952 driven by Mr. Nguyen Van Trien (born in 1984), residing in Dien Thap commune, Dien Chau district, showing many suspicious signs.

The task force immediately asked the driver to stop the vehicle for an administrative inspection. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle was transporting 35 bags of snake carcasses, containing mainly pre-processed dried buffalo skin, weighing nearly 1.4 tons.

All of the above goods had no paperwork and unknown origin. According to the driver, the buffalo hides were transported for hire by a person in Dien Xuan commune, Dien Chau district for sale.
The case is currently being handled in accordance with the law.
