Nghe An tests growing spinach for export to Japan

(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, Japan has ordered Tam Nguyen Agricultural Development Investment Joint Stock Company to produce spinach (also known as Bina) in Japan.

With a test area of ​​500m²Spinach is produced with the technical support of JICA in Nam Tan (Nam Dan). From production to completion, the products are guided by Japanese experts, who guide them by hand according to clean production processes, then evaluate the success to decide to expand the model.

Nam Dan spinach products are currently being harvested and will be exported to Japan after being tested and evaluated for nutritional content, size, and cleanliness. If successful, the project will expand production on a large scale for export to the Japanese market. The project is part of the program to improve the quality of Vietnamese agricultural products in Nghe An with technical guidance from JICA.

Tam Nguyen Company and the Japanese side are also testing potatoes to supply to a potato chip and snack processing factory with a Japanese partner. The order output, according to Mr. Pham Van Tien - Director of the Company, is 1,000 - 2,000 tons/year, produced in Nam Tan - Nam Dan.

Tam Nguyen Agricultural Development Investment Joint Stock Company was selected as the pilot planting unit implemented by the company according to the safe value chain, with raw material areas and store chains in Nghe An.

During the recent visit to Nghe An, the Jica delegation and Japanese enterprises also visited some vegetable areas of Nghe An such as Hung Dong, Vinh city, Quynh Luong (Quynh Luu)... to further understand the agricultural production situation of Nghe An.
