Nghe An seeks solutions to arrange jobs for staff of the 600 Commune Vice Chairmen project

(Baonghean.vn) - The Department of Home Affairs is coordinating with ministries, branches and localities to 'preliminarily review the project of 600 commune vice chairmen' including 26 comrades in Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Ky Son, calculate solutions when the project ends, and develop a plan to arrange work for these cases.

This information was given at the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee on the morning of May 22.

The socio-economic assessment of May presented by the Department of Planning and Investment shows that all sectors have positive changes.

Regarding agriculture, grain crops achieved high acreage and output, with spring rice alone reaching 91,874.2 ha/plan of 89,000 ha, up 0.41% over the same period with the structure of many new rice varieties, the average yield reached 66.08 quintals/ha (some places over 81 quintals/ha), rice output was estimated at 607,135.8 tons, up 1% over the same period in 2016. Livestock farming tended to decrease, especially the pig herd decreased by 0.94% over the same period in 2016 due to the decrease in pork prices, making it difficult to sell.

Industrial production in May 2017 increased by 9.4% over the same period. In the first 5 months of 2017, the industrial production growth index increased by 7.77% over the same period. The service and trade sectors increased over the same period, with revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and tourism services in May estimated at VND596.67 billion, up 29.23%, and the cumulative revenue for the first 5 months was estimated at VND2,529.1 billion, up 19.03% over the same period.

However, according to Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism, in some areas, the exploitation of destinations is not effective due to spontaneity, affecting the ecological environment, typically at the tea island (Thanh Chuong) where many spontaneous diesel boats have not been managed. In May, the tourism industry promoted tourism in China and promised positive prospects in cooperation and development. The plan to open more flights from Nghe An to China is being considered between two cities: Kunming of Yunnan and Chengdu of Sichuan. The survey will begin next July.

In May, there were 15 more schools meeting the standards, and by May 16, 2017, the province had 1,001 national standard schools, reaching a rate of 65.98%. In terms of achievements in domestic and international competitions, Nghe An students participated in large numbers and achieved high results; 4 students participated in international competitions, including 2/8 students participating in the 2017 Asian Physics Olympiad in Nghe An province, with 1 student winning a Silver medal. The education sector coordinated with other sectors and localities to carefully prepare for the 2017 National High School Exams. In this exam, Nghe An province had 30,966 candidates registered to take the exam, which was held at 61 exam sites with 1,313 exam rooms; the Department of Education and Training has made plans with 2,626 exam invigilators and 245 supervisors.

Mr. Hoang Van Hao - Acting Director of the Department of Health said: There are still many difficulties in autonomous hospitals because there is not yet a high level of consensus among the entire industry; the industry is proposing to establish an Oncology Department at the Provincial General Hospital to increase opportunities for people to receive treatment; the coordination between the health sector and the Social Insurance is still confusing in the settlement of health insurance payments.

A representative of the Department of Home Affairs said that they are coordinating with ministries, branches and localities to have a "preliminary summary of the project of 600 commune vice chairmen" including 26 comrades in Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Ky Son, calculating solutions when the project ends, and building a plan to arrange work for these cases.

To strengthen administrative reform and better serve the needs of people and businesses, all levels and sectors have strengthened public inspection work. The inspection sector organized 35 specialized inspections and examinations at 146 organizations and 172 individuals; detected 39 organizations and 171 individuals with violations, and imposed fines of VND 973.25 million; conducted 11 public inspections and examined the responsibility of the Head in implementing the law on inspection, complaints, denunciations and anti-corruption at 16 units. Through inspections and examinations, recommendations were made to review and draw lessons for 5 organizations and 24 individuals with violations.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and branches discussed solutions to promote socio-economic development, focus on directing summer-autumn production, organize the 2017 national high school exam well, urge the progress of new rural construction, strengthen control and rectify the mineral exploitation sector, continue administrative reform, support business development...

Comrade Le Xuan Dai highly appreciated the participation of sectors, localities and the efforts of businesses and people in contributing to the results of socio-economic development in the province.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to actively and effectively implement solutions to ensure economic development targets, actively attract investment, promote sustainable and high-quality agricultural development, take care of people's livelihood, organize well educational activities, national high school exams, take care of policy families, improve the quality of medical services, and ensure social order and safety.

In the regular meeting in May, the Provincial People's Committee also evaluated "10 years of implementing Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (10th tenure) on the strategy for developing the marine economy", the work of ensuring food safety and hygiene, and reviewed draft resolutions submitted to the Provincial People's Council.
