On the morning of November 27, in Vinh city, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology organized the Workshop "Current situation and solutions to attract and gather Nghe An intellectuals by 2030".

Speaking at the workshop, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council affirmed the great role of the intellectual team in the socio-economic development of the province. Especially in the current period of rapid development of science and technology, to catch up with other localities in the country and integrate internationally, there is no other way than to promote the creativity of the intellectual team.

Therefore, it is required that representatives of departments, branches, sectors and scientists actively analyze, research the current situation and find solutions to attract and gather intellectuals, first of all from now until 2030. On that basis, promote the potential and advantages of the locality, contributing to making Nghe An the center of the North Central region and a prosperous province of the country as Uncle Ho always wished.

The workshop gathered 17 presentations from leaders, representatives of departments, branches and scientists. The content of the presentations focused on the task of gathering, uniting, exploiting and using the team of scientific and technological intellectuals, experience in improving the quality of activities, policies to mobilize and attract, promote scientific research and discuss solutions to attract and gather the team of intellectuals of the province...

In her concluding remarks at the workshop, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong suggested that member associations of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations promote research and innovate working methods to gather intellectuals, especially young intellectuals. At the same time, expand connections to attract intellectuals inside and outside the province, encourage social consulting and criticism activities.

On that basis, the Union of Science and Technology Associations will advise provincial leaders to organize seminars and dialogues with intellectuals on socio-economic issues in the area.
