The festival was held for 3 days, from April 20 to April 22, 2016, with the participation of mass art teams from 11 mountainous districts and towns. The festival consisted of 2 parts: Mass art program and ethnic minority beauty contest.

In the Beauty of Ethnic Minorities contest, 22 female contestants (aged 18-25, from the Thai, Tho, O Du, Mong, and Kho Mu ethnic groups with permanent residence in mountainous districts and towns) will be selected to participate in the traditional costume and self-selected costume performance.

Comrade Tran Quoc Khanh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, requested the Organizing Committee to do a good job of information and propaganda about the festival, consider the venue and should hold the opening night performance at Ho Chi Minh Square.

At the meeting, representatives of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province reported on the organization and implementation of the Festival. Members of the Organizing Committee contributed ideas to make the festival a success.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: Districts and towns to do a good job of organizing local festivals to select performances to participate in the provincial festival; The festival organizing committee establishes a jury, develops a plan and criteria for performing the task; The Provincial Ethnic Committee does a good job of estimating expenses to ensure the success of the festival./.
