Nghe An conducts comprehensive screening of citizens returning from southern provinces
(Baonghean.vn) - This move took place in the context of a series of outbreaks appearing in many localities in the province.
On October 31, Mr. Tran Minh Tue - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that the unit has just sent a document to districts, cities and towns on strengthening the monitoring and effective control of the Covid-19 epidemic during the implementation of Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP of the Government.
This move comes as Nghe An has recorded a series of community cases in many localities in recent days. Meanwhile, since October 1, more than 26,500 Nghe An citizens have returned to their hometowns from southern provinces. Currently, 358 people have been infected with Covid-19, of which more than 50 have received two doses of the vaccine.
According to the leaders of the Department of Health, in recent times, localities have gradually implemented the work of "Safely and flexibly adapting and effectively controlling the Covid-19 epidemic". However, Nghe An province has also recorded a large number of people moving from localities with high numbers of cases, potentially spreading the disease back to their localities.
To strengthen monitoring and proactively control the epidemic effectively, the Department of Health recommends that districts, cities and towns direct departments, branches, People's Committees of communes, wards and towns and related units to organize screening of all people returning from provinces and cities with high infection rates (such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An...) to/from epidemic areas at level 3 and 4; cases with signs of suspected disease to promptly detect, test for early detection, organize quarantine management, and monitor health appropriately according to regulations in Official Dispatch No. 5022/TTCH-SYT dated October 16, 2021 of the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center (note the monitoring of people returning from epidemic areas at level 3 and 4 in the province).
Maximize the role of the grassroots political system, especially the community-based Covid-19 team in monitoring, testing, and medical monitoring (the epidemic level of provinces and cities across the country is announced and updated at https://moh.gov.vn/web/guest/tong-hop-danh-gia-cap-do-dich-taidia-phuong).

At the same time, direct departments, branches, and commune-level authorities to seriously implement epidemic prevention measures in accordance with the provisions of Decision No. 3869/QD-UBND dated October 21, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee.
Regularly organize the assessment, update and announcement of the corresponding epidemic levels of communes/wards/towns in the area on the Provincial Information Portal (https://thongtincovid19.nghean.gov.vn) to have appropriate medical and administrative measures for each level and each area. Districts/cities/towns must assign focal officers in charge of assessing the epidemic level in the area.
