Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh announced some highlights of the province's natural conditions, socio-economic situation; business environment, investment attraction; infrastructure system of roads, airports, seaports, urban areas, trade, tourism, etc.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that the results that Nghe An has achieved in recent times have had very important and effective contributions and support from the Party Committee, government, people and businesses of Ho Chi Minh City, stemming from their responsibility and affection for Uncle Ho's homeland.

Based on the special cooperative relationship between the two localities, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh suggested that Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of cooperation in the coming time, including cooperation contents for the period 2019-2025.

At the conference, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy also approved the report summarizing socio-economic development between Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An province in the period of 2014-2019 and the Agreement on socio-economic development cooperation between the two localities in the period of 2019-2025.

Accordingly, up to now, there have been 56 investment, production and business projects of Ho Chi Minh City investors with a total registered capital of VND 34,463 billion, of which 32 projects with a total investment capital of nearly VND 22,100.85 billion have come into operation.

Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City also have specific cooperation in many other fields such as: science and technology, information and communication, health; labor, war invalids and social affairs; culture - sports; tourism, services;...

Specific cooperation, based on the strengths of both sides

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong pointed out some outstanding strengths of the city such as: services, science and technology center of the country; skilled and highly trained workforce, labor productivity higher than the national average...

“The program must be very specific, based on the strengths of both sides to promote together,” said Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, sharing the spirit of sincere and emotional cooperation to contribute to building the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho to develop more and more “properly and beautifully”.

At the meeting, under the direction of the leaders of the two localities, departments and branches also exchanged and discussed cooperation solutions in many fields during the time such as: tourism, investment attraction, healthcare...

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang congratulated Nghe An on the results achieved in recent times, and expressed confidence in the province's strong development in the future.

Comrade Tran Luu Quang shared: Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An will continue to coordinate, exchange experiences and methods to implement the cooperation program more and more effectively.

In response, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh affirmed that Nghe An is trying its best to implement the contents of the cooperation program, while also researching to expand some other contents such as: exchanging experiences in leadership, management, development policy planning; ensuring aviation safety and security.

Next, under the witness of the leaders of the two localities, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Thanh Phong and Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province Thai Thanh Quy signed the Agreement on socio-economic development cooperation for the period 2019-2025.

Accordingly, Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City will continue to cooperate on economic development contents: investment attraction, agriculture, industry and trade; culture, sports; science and technology; information and communication; education and training; health, tourism, radio - television and social security.
