Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Manh Khoi - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission. Comrades: Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation and Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation co-chaired the conference.

Also attending were representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; the Provincial Federation of Labor; leaders of the Federation of Labor of districts, cities and towns with workers in FDI enterprises and the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union.

The conference was held to disseminate documents and instructions from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Nghe An province and the Provincial Labor Federation on preventing and resolving strikes that do not comply with procedures and regulations of the law. Thereby, discussing, exchanging experiences, prevention and handling solutions, ensuring harmony of interests ofworkersand business owners, contributing to socio-economic development.

At the conference, delegates were informed of the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in Document No. 3649/TLĐ-QHLĐ dated February 15, 2022; Decision No. 29/QD/2021/QD-UBND dated September 22 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. The focus was on regulations on workers' strikes and preventive and resolution measures of the Trade Union organization.

The important issue of the grassroots trade union is to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers and laborers; require workers to publicly and transparently disclose policies and regimes. When a strike occurs, the grassroots trade union needs to promptly report the situation, approach workers, work with employers, closely monitor developments, recommend solutions and steps to resolve them.strike…

Discussing at the Conference, delegates raised a number of opinions on the cause of the strike, which was due to the low regional minimum wage and lower income compared to other provinces and cities, leading to many difficulties in life. Other causes were labor pressure at the beginning of the year and substandard management practices by employers.

From there, propose solutions to prevent and resolve strikes when they occur, including strengthening propaganda and coordination between the Provincial Federation of Labor and relevant departments and branches in the handling process to achieve high efficiency.

Speaking at the Conference, comrade Kha Van Tam acknowledged the timely and drastic participation of the Trade Union organizations at all levels and related departments and branches. At the same time, he proposed to carry out a number of immediate tasks: Urgently deploy to grasp the situation of workers in the area; step up propaganda toWorker,employers clearly understand policies and laws.

This requires union officials to have a firm grasp and deep understanding of policies and guidelines related to workers; proactively coordinate with departments and branches to effectively handle arising issues.
