In Nghe An province, there are currently 02 legal religious organizations: Catholicism, Buddhism and followers of 08 other religious organizations. The number of followers is nearly 388,200; there are 422 religious establishments; 246 officials; 301 dignitaries; 02 training establishments; 04 charity - social establishments.

Based on the Party's viewpoints, guidelines and policies, the State's laws on religion and other relevant legal regulations and the direction of the Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee 68, the Prime Minister; Central ministries, departments and branches, in recent times, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have focused on directing the effective resolution of religious issues arising in the area.

Notably, religious organizations have actively coordinated well in supporting and encouraging individuals and organizations on the front lines of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, complying with social distancing regulations. Religious organizations have complied quite well with the implementation of processes and procedures according to regulations so that competent authorities can consider and resolve religious needs.

Continue to thoroughly grasp, focus on leadership, and seriously and resolutely direct the guiding documents of the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries, departments, and branches on religious work and the resolutions, projects, and plans of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on policies and measures to resolve religious issues in the area.

Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management work onbelief, religion both in considering the needs as well as preventing and handling violations, focusing on handling outstanding cases from previous years. Complete the assignment and decentralization of state management advisory work for religious activities in the province. Prioritize the arrangement of sufficient and qualified staff, continue to train and comprehensively improve knowledge of law, religion, etc.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing issues of mobilizing religious dignitaries, officials, and followers to participate in front work; fighting to prevent and suppress the activities of new religious phenomena; and managing religious land.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, commended and acknowledged the sense of responsibility of departments, branches, sectors and localities.
