Nghe An honors 26 outstanding youth and union officials in 2020

On the morning of May 9, at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan), towards the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee held a ceremony to honor exemplary young people following Uncle Ho's teachings and awarded the 2020 provincial-level Ly Tu Trong Award.

On the side of the Central Delegation, there were comrades: Nguyen Huu Ngoc - Deputy Head of the Central Youth Union's Propaganda Department; Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Director of the Vietnam Youth Museum and representatives of the Central Youth Union's departments.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Standing member of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries of district, city, town Youth Unions, Youth Unions of affiliated units and 26 delegates who are typical young people following Uncle Ho's teachings and Youth Union officials receiving the Ly Tu Trong Award at the provincial level in 2020.

Before the commendation ceremony, the delegation of Nghe An youth held a flower and incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan).

The ceremony to honor outstanding young people following Uncle Ho's teachings and award the Ly Tu Trong award at the provincial level in 2020 is a practical activity to recognize examples of outstanding achievements in studying, working, and making many contributions to society.

At the same time, it contributes to promoting learning and following the example, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh, creating motivation for all levels of young people to strive and practice.

Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Thi Thom emphasized: Taking his teachings to heart, over the past time, Nghe An youth have always been absolutely loyal to the Party's ideals, implementing many revolutionary action movements of practical significance, contributing to socio-economic development, joining hands to solve the difficulties of the community.

From those movements, many groups and individuals have emerged who are exemplary in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union decided to honor 18 exemplary young people following Uncle Ho's teachings and awarded the provincial Ly Tu Trong award to 8 Youth Union officials.

This is a typical representativefor nearly 1 million young people in the province about moral qualities, sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, spirit of striving, overcoming difficulties, solidarity, creativity, representing the spirit of determination and good virtues of Nghe people.

To promptly recognize the spirit of volunteerism of the collective of cadres and youth union members at the district level in disease prevention and control and effectively implement social security programs during Youth Month.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 units with outstanding achievements in disease prevention and control and effective implementation of social security programs during Youth Month, including: Cadres and youth union members of Tan Ky, Tuong Duong, Yen Thanh, Quy Hop districts and the Provincial Police, Vinh Medical University.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also presented a makeshift hand-washing point to Kim Lien Relic Site worth 20 million VND; planted trees and presented a hand-washing sink system to Lang Sen Primary School worth 15 million VND.
