The contest is an important professional activity of the Education sector to train a team of homeroom teachers who are good at their profession and have solid expertise, creating conditions for teachers to exchange, learn, improve their knowledge, enhance their understanding, skills and courage.
This is the first contest to be held according to Circular No. 22/2019/TT-BGDDT dated December 20, 2019 of the Ministry of Education and Training. Participating in the contest are 186/2,657 excellent and typical homeroom teachers of high schools and continuing education schools in the whole province, accounting for 7%.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, teachers participating in this year's contest all tried to prepare carefully in terms of content and had many measures to show their concern and enthusiasm for the work of homeroom teachers.
There are many outstanding solutions to develop students' qualities and abilities through class activities and experiential activities; measures to help and protect students with especially difficult circumstances to continue going to school; measures to contribute to transforming students who are not active and self-disciplined in studying and training; methods to actively discipline students...
As a result, 182/186 teachers passed the contest presenting measures to improve the quality of homeroom work, accounting for 97.8% of the total number of teachers participating in the contest.

Regarding the practical lessons, teachers carefully prepared them, in accordance with the lesson objectives, students and educational innovation requirements. The results of this test had 182/182 teachers meeting the regulations, accounting for 100%.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh affirmed: The success of the contest has contributed significantly to improving the quality of homeroom teachers; stimulating students to be proactive in learning and training, developing qualities and abilities, suitable to the students and school and local conditions.

Through this contest,Department of Education and Trainingwill replicate advanced models, contribute to improving the effectiveness of class activities, organizing educational activities and promoting emulation movements in schools, creating motivation for educational development of the whole sector, and at the same time serve as a basis for assessing the current situation of homeroom teachers, meeting the requirements of educational innovation.
The Department's leaders also said: The Department will continue to focus on training homeroom teachers to meet the educational requirements of the new period. Training homeroom teachers does not require a long-term strategy, but must have a plan. Homeroom teachers also need to follow students through the entire school year. From there, teachers will understand the circumstances and personalities of each student and have measures to motivate, encourage, create changes in learning and perception, contributing to the formation of their personalities.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee recognized 182 teachers with the title of "Excellent Homeroom Teacher at the Provincial Level" in 2021. Among them, the teacher with the highest score was Thai Thi Vu Anh (1987) - Physics teacher - THuynh Thuc Khang High Schoolwith 19.17/20 points.
At the same time, 06 groups and 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in the contest were rewarded.
