Nghe An honors 75 '5 Good Students' and 'January Stars' at provincial level

In 2007, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union recognized the need to establish an organization that would play a leading role in the Association’s work and student movement throughout the province, and at the same time act as a bridge between Nghe An students and the Central Vietnam Student Association. Immediately after that, the “Mobilizing Committee for the Establishment of the Vietnam Student Association of Nghe An Province” was formed, in preparation for the establishment of the Vietnam Student Association of Nghe An Province.

2008 CongressNghe An Provincial Student AssociationThe first term was officially held. After 4 congresses, the Nghe An Provincial Student Association has affirmed its position as one of the strong units, with the Association's activities and student movements taking place actively, creatively, and constantly innovating. These efforts have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association.

Over the past two decades, the Nghe An Provincial Student Association has mobilized a large number of students to participate in many new fields and difficult areas through volunteer student campaigns such as “Green Summer”, “Red Flamboyant”, “Exam Support”, “Volunteer Saturday”, “Green Sunday”… These action programs have contributed to changing the face of Nghe An.

In addition to promoting the spirit of initiative and volunteerism, in the field of study and scientific research, students of the province also demonstrate the ability to quickly and actively acquire new knowledge, participate in scientific research activities at all levels, robocon competitions, national and regional vocational competitions, and win many high prizes.

In addition, in the period when creative startups are a big trend in the whole country, Nghe An students have proactively taken the lead with many creative ideas, participated in competitions to seek investment opportunities, create creative startups, and create many jobs for their friends and many other young people.

Recently, G“January Star” Award and “5 Good Students” MovementThe criteria of "Good study", "Good morality", "Good physical strength", "Good volunteering", "Good integration" have been focused on by the Association at all levels with many new and effective solutions.

To become a "5 Good Student" is a process of striving, determination, and persistent efforts of students. The title selection council has received more than 200 applications and through the selection, the council has decided to award the title of "5 Good Student" at the provincial level for the 2023-2024 school year to 39 students.

The “January Star” award is a noble award of the Provincial Student Association, to honor and reward students, who are Union and Association officials with excellent achievements in studying and training, in Student Association work, Union work and student movements, creating motivation to promote emulation movements, study and identify good people and good deeds among students.

This year, 36 students won the “January Star” award.

At the program, the Secretariat of the Nghe An Provincial Student Association launched a special emulation campaign from January 2025 to January 2026, celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, celebrating the country's important events in 2025, welcoming Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.
