Nghe An applies technology to industrial production
Nghe An industrial enterprises constantly apply science and technology, digital technology in production; thereby improving operational efficiency, competitiveness and service quality.
The movements
In the first months of 2024, textile and garment exports recovered compared to last year. However, besides the recovery in orders, the textile and garment industry still faces some difficulties such as risks in the supply chain, digital transformation trends, circular economy, green production, etc. To develop sustainably, there is no other way but to rely on digital transformation and green growth.
According to Mr. Tran Van Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Vinatex Hoang Mai Garment Joint Stock Company, 2023 will bring many common difficulties for the textile and garment industry, but the company is given priority in orders by Vinatex Group (the Group has 18 garment enterprises and 5 textile enterprises) so production is steady. In 2024, the company will be fully stocked until the end of the year and currently has many shipments to European and American markets.

Mr. Tran Van Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Vinatex Hoang Mai Garment Joint Stock Company said: To achieve this result, the enterprise applies advanced technologies, such as high-precision automatic cutting technology, fabric lifting machines, automatic fabric spreading machines, conveyor belt fabric spreading tables, automatic labeling machines and automatic fabric cutting machines. New solutions for the cutting room bring many benefits to garment enterprises, such as saving time, labor, saving fabric and optimizing production costs. Compared to before, when the fabric spreading stage required at least 2 workers, with the automatic fabric spreading machine, only 1 person is needed to operate but the productivity is much higher.
The application of technology, science and engineering into the production process and digital transformation is becoming a mandatory requirement for the Textile and Garment industry to export goods to demanding markets, because markets such as Europe, the US and Japan have very high requirements for green production.

Some construction material manufacturing enterprises also apply technology imported from European countries, creating high-quality products. For example, thanks to technological innovation, the biggest milestone is the Construction Material Production Complex in Nghi Van Commune (Nghi Loc), Trung Do Joint Stock Company has become the leading enterprise in the country in the production of construction materials and a pioneer in the production of large-sized sintered Slab Stone "made in Vietnam". The enterprise's point of view is that a new technological line often has a certain cycle, so when investing, it is necessary to choose the latest technology for optimal performance.
For the Nghi Van Complex project, the company chose the Continua+ technology line of SACMI Group (Italy) for installation; at the same time, invested in modern, synchronous facilities, including dryers with multiple kiln floors, the most advanced packaging and sorting lines in the entire Asia-Pacific region. To diversify product quality and design, meeting the European and American markets, the company also chose Itaca Group (Spain) as the world's third glaze supplier to create models and mix colors of ceramic tiles, fired stones, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hien - Director of Trung Do Joint Stock Company said: To create advantages, along with effectively utilizing available domestic input materials, the company chooses the most modern technology in the world and appears for the first time in Vietnam. In addition, the company always strives to continuously improve, apply new scientific and technical achievements in the world, and at the same time, continuously apply modern and advanced management systems to reduce costs.
The application of science and technology is also being focused on by businesses in many other fields to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness, helping to maintain growth momentum, creating opportunities for development and expansion of production and business activities. The mining and mineral processing sector innovates technology in mining activities, using Spanish technology to produce superfine stone powder coated with stearic acid.
The agricultural, forestry, aquatic and food processing sector has been invested with modern technology associated with high-tech agriculture and applied the circular economic model. Typical examples include: milk processing by TH and Vinamilk; sugar processing, food production by Massan Group; canned fish processing by Royal Foods Group. Or the electricity production and supply sector has mastered the technology of monitoring and controlling transformer stations and managing the operation of power systems with smart grid solutions, attracting a number of projects to produce electrical equipment and transmission equipment (such as: Viet A, Nanoco) ...

Promote the application of science and technology
It can be said that the formation and development of the 4.0 industrial revolution has brought about the strong development of new technologies, focusing mainly on smart manufacturing based on breakthrough achievements in information technology, biotechnology, nanotechnology... Technology is considered one of the "salvations" to help businesses overcome many difficult stages.
Recognizing the importance of science and technology, in attracting investment, the province also focuses on attracting FDI projects using high technology and modern technology that meet the standards and regulations of parent corporations/companies, especially enterprises producing components and phone accessories for Samsung and Apple such as: Em-Tech, BSE Vietnam, Luxshare Vietnam, Goertek, Everwin, Juteng.
Many projects produce high-tech products such as: Auto parts, network equipment, camera modules, printers, optical components, lenses, monolithic silicon bars, semiconductor wafers... of corporations and enterprises: Sunny, Gaojia Optics, Runergy PV Technology, Luxvisions Innovation, Kyungshin...

It is forecasted that in 2024 and the coming years, the industrial sector will face many difficulties and challenges due to the impact of the global economic recession and conflicts between countries and regions in the world, causing a decrease in consumer demand and affecting investment attraction, production and business activities of enterprises.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, to develop science and technology in industrial production, it is necessary to create conditions for enterprises to access capital sources, experts, and technological advances from advanced countries. Strengthen cooperation in human resource training with large companies and corporations such as Samsung; enhance the connection between training facilities and manufacturing enterprises, between domestic and foreign manufacturing enterprises, etc.
From a management perspective, continue to attract foreign direct investment projects in processing and manufacturing industries (automobiles, mechanics, footwear, garments, electronics, information technology, etc.); supporting industries; renewable energy; product processing industries associated with agricultural and rural development; projects using modern, environmentally friendly technology according to the issued project list.
