According to the report, in recent times, Nghe An has always paid attention to and had an orientation towards attracting and developing projects with advanced technical and technological solutions to ensure the environment, aiming for sustainable development, ensuring the ability to thoroughly resolve end-of-pipe pollution, moving towards a "green - clean - beautiful" production and industrial ecology.

Technological solutions for environmental protection are deployed such as: replacing polluted raw materials with clean raw materials; managing and saving electricity and water; developing "green - clean - beautiful" industrial parks and enterprises; saving fuel sources, limiting waste generation, minimizing pollution...

Currently, there are 11 planned industrial parks (IPs) in the province, of which 6/11 IPs are under construction and operation. Two large IPs such as Bac Vinh and Nam Cam have put into operation centralized wastewater treatment systems.

8/17 industrial clusters (ICs) have centralized wastewater treatment systems; production facilities in the ICs have connected their wastewater systems to the centralized wastewater treatment system for treatment before discharging into the environment.

In addition to the achieved results, in recent times, industrial development associated with environmental protection in industrial parks and industrial clusters still has some limitations, especially the centralized waste treatment system; establishments participating in production and business in industrial clusters have not invested in environmental protection; environmental inspection and supervision in large projects still have many shortcomings; the situation of generated waste has not been collected and treated promptly, the rate of treated waste is still low...

At the working session, provincial leaders and functional agencies answered questions from the working delegation on a number of issues such as: support mechanisms and policies to accompany enterprises in production associated with environmental protection; environmental control capacity of specialized sectors; handling of environmental violations in the area; environmental impact assessment plan for enterprises operating in industrial parks and industrial clusters; building automatic monitoring systems; environmental treatment in large projects, especially projects related to cement, thermal power, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee pointed out the difficulties in developing industry and protecting the environment at the same time. He frankly admitted that many complicated incidents related to environmental issues had occurred in the province, and there were still many potential risks.

Therefore, Nghe An province will continue to pay attention to directing, strictly controlling and strictly handling violations, prioritizing resources and creating conditions for socialized investment in environmental protection. In addition, to improve the effectiveness of environmental protection, the province proposes that the Government increase the budget for environmental protection and support the province to invest in automatic environmental monitoring stations in key economic zones and industrial parks.

Comrade Bui Van Thach highly appreciated the implementation as well as the attention to environmental regulations in industrial zones through the delegation's survey; acknowledged that the province has issued many directive documents, built many projects, programs and plans for environmental protection in the new situation.

At the same time, the Deputy Chief of the Party Central Office suggested that the province pay more attention to selecting investors; strengthen environmental protection measures, increase socialization of investment in environmental treatment; and have solutions to respond to and prevent incidents./.
