Nghe An rebuilds century-old pagoda
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 19, in Quynh Thuan commune (Quynh Luu), the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Dong Yen pagoda took place.
Attending were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quynh Luu district, and the Buddhist Executive Committee of Nghe An province.
Dong Yen Pagoda was built in the 15th century. Through many ups and downs of history, the events of war and the impact of nature, the pagoda has been degraded, damaged and is no longer intact.

In response to the people's wishes, the Provincial People's Committee approved the construction, renovation and embellishment of the pagoda. According to the design, the pagoda was built on a 1,500 m2 campus.2, including the main gate, corridor system, Tam Bao, Ancestral temple, mother house, monk house, Ancestral tower...
The project has a total estimated investment of nearly 10 billion VND from contributions from local people and support from philanthropists. The estimated construction and completion time is 12 months.

At the ceremony, Phuoc Hung Pagoda (Dong Thap province), Dong Yen Pagoda and Nguyen Quang Charity Buddhist Group donated 30 million VND to Quynh Long Primary School to build school facilities and gave 20 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Quynh Thuan commune.
