Nghe An: Handling 394 cases of goods violations in the first 2 months of the year

In Dien Chau district, since the beginning of 2019, the interdisciplinary team has destroyed a number of expired goods, including: confectionery of all kinds, soft drinks, instant noodles...; coordinated with the provincial interdisciplinary team to inspect and administratively fine 2 establishments with a total amount of 10 million VND (Thanh Luc food business establishment and Ha Anh food business establishment in village 6, Dien Ky commune).

For Thanh Chuong district, in the first 2 months of 2019, the district's interdisciplinary team inspected and handled 12 establishments. Through the inspection, 8 establishments were found to have violated regulations on expired goods, goods without listed prices, and foreign goods without Vietnamese labels; the team drew up administrative violation records and advised the district People's Committee to issue decisions to fine 8 cases with a total amount of 6.8 million VND.

Through the inspection, the delegation guided and reminded businesses about business registration procedures. Listed prices of goods and recognized symbols on labeling regulations, conditional business goods must register for a license.

In the first two months of 2019, Nghe An market management force handled 394 violations; collected fines of over 2 billion VND. In which, mainly smuggled goods, banned goods, trade fraud, and food safety violations.

Trading in counterfeit and banned goods is subject to a fine of up to 100 million VND.

This is the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the draft Decree regulating administrative sanctions for violations in commercial activities, production and trade of counterfeit and banned goods and protection of consumer rights, replacing Decree 185/2013/ND-CP and Decree 124/2015/ND-CP.
