Man suspected of drinking weed killer because his wife left for China

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 12, according to Mr. Truong Van Vien - Deputy Chief of Police of Nghia Lam Commune, Nghia Dan District, a person had just died in the area, suspected of drinking weed killer.

The victim was Le Van Hong (born 1976), residing in Hamlet 6, Lang Da Village, Nghia Lan Commune, Nghia Dan District.

According to Mr. Vien, around 24:00 on July 11, the commune police received a report from Le Van Hong's family, according to which Hong texted his relatives to go to the cemetery area of ​​​​Hamlet 6, Lang Da to look for him if he did not return. Upon receiving the information, the commune police immediately arrived and determined that the victim was Le Van Hong, who was lying there and had stopped breathing, next to him was a bottle of used weed killer.

It is known that Mr. Hong often drinks alcohol and his family is not happy because his wife left for China a long time ago.

According to people living near the victim's house, it is likely that he was sad about family matters so he thought of committing suicide.

The family and commune authorities have held a funeral for the victim according to local customs.
