Suspected of being electrocuted in the swimming pool, woman received timely first aid
(Baonghean.vn) - When going into the swimming pool to swim, Ms. T. and her husband felt signs of electric shock. The husband brought the child to shore while Ms. T. was stunned and had to be taken to the emergency room.
Major Le Van Son - Chief of Police of Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City confirmed: at around 7:00 p.m. on May 16, 2018, at a swimming pool in Truong Thi Ward, an incident occurred where a woman was stunned and had to be taken to the provincial general hospital for first aid, suspected to be due to electric shock.
The person who had the accident was Ms. Le Thi Hoai T. (33 years old, residing in Le Mao ward, Vinh city). At that time, Ms. T. and her husband and children had just gone down to the swimming pool to swim. Ms. T.'s husband felt numb so he quickly brought his child up. Ms. T. then became dizzy and called for help. She was given first aid on the spot and then taken to the general hospital for emergency treatment.
The initial cause was determined to be due to the swimming pool system being electrified, most likely from the water filter pump. However, the level of electrification was still light. Ms. T.’s family and other families bathing near the electrified area had the problem.
Authorities are currently troubleshooting and continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.
After being given first aid and taken to the hospital in time, Ms. T. gradually recovered.
This is a long-standing swimming pool in the area, with many visitors every day.
