Officially put into trial operation for 1 month, Trung Do Construction Materials Complex in Nghi Van Commune (Nghi Loc) has affirmed to be one of the most modern projects in Nghe An. Trung Do Construction Materials Complex has a scale of 42.5 hectares with a total investment of 2,400 billion VND for both phases, including 4 production lines of artificial stone slabs, tiles, high-grade ceramic tiles and a production line of hill bricks. Currently, the project has put the production line of large-sized sintered stone into operation.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hien - Director of Trung Do Joint Stock Company said: “With the support of the Provincial and District People's Committees and departments, the company was assigned land and leased land to start construction soon. Up to now, the company has completed the infrastructure of phase 1, and has put into operation the first large stone slab production line in Vietnam with the most advanced machinery and equipment in the world today. The products measuring 1.2 x 2.4m have been highly appreciated by the market. When the project comes into operation, it will create jobs and stable income for 600 local workers, while contributing to the development of industrial production, infrastructure construction and contributing to the State budget of more than 100 billion VND/year".

Realizing the potential and investment opportunities, on July 27, 2022, Hoa Loi Group (Taiwan) decided to sign a land lease contract with WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An Joint Stock Company to open a shoe and sandal processing facility for export in Nghi Long commune.

Mr. Zhang Congyuan - Chairman of Hoa Loi Group said: I chose to invest in WHA Industrial Park because it has just been established, has a large area, has a convenient transportation system; abundant labor resources, enthusiastic, responsible, highly skilled; land lease procedures, project implementation is quick and clear; good mechanisms and policies. According to Mr. Zhang Congyuan, the factory invested in production on an area of ​​7.3 hectares with a total investment of 43 million USD, is expected to have an output of 13 million pairs of products/year after completion and operation and will create jobs for about 8,000 workers, making a significant contribution to the local socio-economic development.

Ms. Ho Thi Huong, a resident of Nghi Long Commune (Nghi Loc) said: I hope the factory will be completed and put into operation soon so that workers like us have the opportunity to find jobs, avoiding going to work far away in the southern provinces. In the future, I hope that more businesses will invest here so that it will be more convenient for people, from home to the company is also close, the jobs, policies, and benefits for workers are more stable...

Creating economic development leverage

Nghi Loc district is identified as a key area for attracting investment in the province, with 9 communes in the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone; a synchronous traffic system (National Highway 1A, National Highway 7C, National Highway 46, Coastal Highway, North-South Expressway, Road D4, ...), Nam Cam Industrial Park, WHA Industrial Park, The Vissai and DKC seaport systems are gradually being completed, with many potentials and advantages to attract investment projects.

Identifying enterprises as the core to promote local economic development, Nghi Loc district focuses on improving the investment and business environment, focusing on solutions to cut and simplify administrative procedures, effectively implementing digital transformation, building e-government, improving the effectiveness of administrative reform, continuing to deploy and replicate a number of effective applications and models.

In 2022, Nghi Loc district will resolutely direct the work of compensation and site clearance for projects in the area, with a total of 28 projects, the recovered land area is nearly 3 million m2, with more than 3,001 households affected, belonging to the following projects: Hemaraj Industrial Park Phase 2; North-South Expressway; Coastal Road; Nghi Dong Zone D Mechanical Production Complex - Nam Cam Industrial Park; Main road along Quan Hanh center; Road N5 (phase 2); Nghi Loc 5 Primary School... Complete the closure of the residential road through WHA Industrial Park in Nghi Thuan commune and ensure the progress of site clearance for key projects in the area, contributing to promoting investment attraction.

During the year, the district had 24 projects continuing to register for investment, with an area of ​​over 422 hectares and a registered capital of VND5.8 trillion. Up to now, 11 projects have been approved in principle and granted Investment Registration Certificates, with a total area of ​​384 hectares and a registered investment capital of VND3.7 trillion, including the following projects: Commercial and residential complex in Quan Hanh town, area of ​​1.15 hectares; Furniture and office production workshop in Truong Thach Industrial Park, area of ​​0.53 hectares; WHA Industrial Park infrastructure investment project (phase 2), area of ​​354.5 hectares; Electronic components factory in WHA Industrial Park, area of ​​3.03 hectares; Ventilation fan factory in WHA Industrial Park, area of ​​0.58 hectares; Hung Luan Styrofoam factory in Truong Thach Industrial Park, Nghi Truong commune, area of ​​0.44 hectares; Hoa Loi Group's shoe and sandal export processing factory in WHA Industrial Park, area of ​​7.3 hectares and some projects and factories located in WHA Industrial Park, Nghi Loc district...

In addition, urban planning projects in the district are currently being completed to continue attracting investment in urban development and trade services: Urban area in Khanh Hop commune (6 hectares); Urban area (No. 1) in Quan Hanh town (37.2 hectares); New urban area (No. 3) in Quan Hanh town (12.2 hectares)...

In the coming time, the district will focus on creating conditions to strongly attract investment; soon complete the handover of land for investors to complete the construction of infrastructure of WHA 2 Industrial Park in Nghi Dong and Nghi Hung communes. At the same time, propose to establish Nghi Dien Industrial Cluster, Nghi Dien commune with an area of ​​over 63 hectares and Do Lang II Industrial Cluster, Nghi Lam commune, with an area of ​​70 hectares... In particular, well implement the mechanisms to encourage, attract investment, support business development, so that businesses truly become an important driving force in the economic development of the district.

Thanks to the effective implementation of investment attraction and opening up new development opportunities, in 2022, despite many difficulties, revenue from production and business activities at factories, companies, industrial parks and industrial clusters of Nghi Loc district still reached about 14,500 billion VND, creating jobs for nearly 3,922 workers, contributing to the total production value of the district increasing by 13.18% over the same period in 2021 (of which, the industrial - construction sector accounts for 60.95% of the total production value). Enterprises contribute 3,250 billion VND/year to the State budget.
