Nghi Lộc tạo đột phá từ thu hút đầu tư
(Baonghean.vn) - As a locality in the Southeast Economic Zone, in the past term, Nghi Loc district has vigorously implemented the creation of land to attract investment projects. Thanks to that, in addition to the large projects invested in industrial parks in the area, the district is having many more potential investment projects.
High concentration on site clearance
Compared with other districts, Nghi Loc is a key area in terms ofattracting investmentof the province, so compensation and site clearance work is considered a regular priority political task. In the past 5 years, there have been dozens of investment projects in the district, which means the recovery of hundreds to thousands of hectares of land and thousands of households are affected, so the workload is very large; if not determined and focused, it will be very difficult to hand over the site on time.

Thanks to the unified leadership, when implementing projects, the district coordinates smoothly with the departments, branches and sectors of the province to jointly resolve and remove obstacles, and promptly dialogue and resolve difficulties for investment projects outside the Economic Zone.
Since the beginning of 2015, Nghi Loc has cleared land for 84 projects with a total recovered area of over 1,165 hectares, including 40 projects outside the Southeast Economic Zone with an area of nearly 300 hectares; nearly 9,720 households were affected, 414 households were resettled; over 5,000 graves were relocated; and 1,441 billion VND was promptly disbursed and paid to affected organizations and households.

Thanks to its good role as a bridge, many capable investors came to find a common voice and were determined to invest, so the site clearance and project implementation were quite fast. Typical examples are the recovery of forestry land for the Trung Do Construction Materials Production Complex project in Nghi Van commune, the Garment and Leather Shoe Factory project in Nghi Dien commune, the Garment Factory project in Nghi Lam commune... completed in just 6 months.
In addition to the above major projects, thanks to active investment promotion, the district has also attracted a number of investment projects in the fields of trade, services, petroleum business, and auto repair in Truong Thach Industrial Cluster as well as a number of other areas, creating a new look for the district's economy.
Add new highlights
The fact that many investment projects outside the economic zone have come into the area, including the Nghi Dien Textile and Footwear Export Factory and Nghi Lam Textile and Garment Factory, which have been put into operation in a short time, has created a highlight for the district. The two factories have created jobs for about 1,400 workers.
Nghi Van is one of the poor mountainous communes, but in recent years there has been a major shift in economic development, becoming a bright spot in attracting investment in the district. Comrade Tran Van Sao - Secretary of Nghi Van Commune Party Committee said: "The large-scale material production project in the area has made Nghi Van people excited and happy, so the progress of site clearance is very fast and favorable."

The development of industry and construction has promoted the service and trade sectors of Nghi Loc to be more vibrant. In the past 5 years, from 2015 to now, along with maintaining an average growth rate of 12.53%/year, achieving the target set by the Congress Resolution, in which industry and construction increased the highest average with 20.11%/year. By 2020, the proportion of industry and construction accounted for 56.1%, an increase of 15.4% compared to 2015; average income per capita in 2020 is estimated at 47 million VND/year, an increase of 18.2 million compared to 2015.
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Hai - Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee said: Speeding up the progress of site clearance and attracting investment projects outside the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks will help the district achieve three goals: shifting the economic structure towards increasing the proportion of industry - construction, creating a sustainable source of revenue for the district budget and solving the problem of labor conversion after land acquisition.

It is known that thanks to the connection efforts, Nghi Loc district is attracting a number of high-tech and clean projects in the agricultural sector and outside the Southeast Economic Zone such as the 63-hectare North Central Coast High-tech Forestry Zone project in Nghi Lam commune and the High-tech Agricultural Application Center project with an area of 200 hectares in the area of 3 communes Nghi Van, Nghi Kieu and Dai Son (Do Luong). According to the plan, the project will be implemented in 2020 and if put into operation, it will open up great prospects for the forestry processing industry for the entire western region of the district.
