German Foreign Minister: Trump's election is the end of the 20th-century world order
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said the election of Donald Trump as US President was a milestone marking the end of the 20th century world order. This he stated in an article published in Bild am Sonntag.
"What kind of order there will be in the 21st century, what the world will be like tomorrow, is still uncertain. As always, with a change of government comes uncertainty, suspicion and questions about the direction of the new leadership. However, this is a time of new global turmoil, here we are talking about big bets on the cards," - the diplomat commented.

Notably, earlier, German Minister of Economics and Technology, Sigmar Gabriel, considered billionaire Donald Trump's rise to power in the US as a result of a "serious radicalization within American society".
Foreign Minister Steinmeier declared that after Trump was elected President, US foreign policy would be unpredictable due to lack of predictability./.
