The US is trying to build a world order that operates on the principle of “whoever is stronger is right” - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

As the minister noted, the West wants to “force the public to doubt the justice of the world order, ratified in the United Nations Charter after World War II.”

Therefore, “a policy has been implemented to undermine the existing international legal system, replacing it with a “rules-based order”. This order is intended to be created on the principle of “whoever is stronger is right”, according to the “law of the jungle”, Mr. Lavrov said.

He stressed that this is primarily related to the United States and its peculiarity in the perception of 20th century history. In particular, the diplomat pointed out that the United States propagated the idea of “two good wars”, with the result that the United States became the world leader.

“Our detractors seek to minimize the role of the Soviet Union in World War II. They try to present a false image of the Soviet Union, if not as the main culprit of the war, then as an aggressor, along with Nazi Germany, they exaggerate the arguments about “equal responsibility.

They blatantly equate the fascist invasion, with its consequences of tens of millions of deaths, with the crimes of their own kind and the liberation mission of the Soviet Red Army...

I would like to remind that the Nuremberg Tribunal, whose decisions later became an integral part of international law, clearly defined who defends good and who stands on the side of evil," Lavrov said.

The Russian Foreign Minister also noted that the US is trying to create the image of "militarist Russia".
