Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov noted that Russia is not responsible for Ukraine, nor for Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
"I'm not guessing, because according to real signs, it's important for Mr. Zelensky to stay in power, and he's ready to pay any price," Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said.
Situation on the border with Ukraine
Western countries have recently expressed displeasure with what they see as an increase in Russian “aggressive actions” near the Ukrainian border. In particular, Washington has even sent military ships into the Black Sea. Meanwhile, the German Foreign Ministry called Moscow’s decision to temporarily close some areas of the Black Sea a violation of international law.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stressed that Russia is moving troops within its own territory, according to its own plans. Therefore, it does not affect other countries.
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, sanctions against Russia are "the initiative of those who want to benefit from the role of being on the front line of the struggle", and seek many priorities for this.
