NATO military operations in the Black Sea
The United States and its allies have recently significantly increased their military activity in the Black Sea. According to the US Department of Defense, the US is trying to create a military grouping near the Russian border, and one of Washington's goals is to have a military presence in Ukraine. The department believes that the US is studying the situation in case of a military solution to the conflict in Donbass.

It is impossible to rule out the possibility that Kiev will embark on a military adventure.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that it was impossible to rule out the possibility that Kiev would engage in a military adventure, and if necessary Moscow would take steps to ensure security.
"We simply have no right to exclude the possibility that the Kiev regime will embark on a military adventure. All this creates a direct threat to the security of the Russian Federation. On November 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about this. Putin stressed that Russia does not need a conflict, but if the West cannot restrain Ukraine, but on the contrary encourages Kiev, then Russia will naturally take all necessary steps to ensure its reliable security," Lavrov said.
At the same time, Kiev and Western countries expressed concern about the "pull" of Russian forces to the country's western borders. As the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov pointed out, Moscow moves troops on its own territory and at its own discretion - this does not threaten anyone and should not worry anyone.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously stated that Moscow will not attack anyone. According to him, the threat from Russia is "an invention of those who want to monetize their pioneering role in the fight against Russia, in order to receive bonuses and certain benefits for this."
