Ngoc Trinh recounts the incident of a thief breaking into her house and stealing a watch worth 13 billion
"If the watch box wasn't broken and the new safe hadn't arrived yet, the thief could have taken the whole box, and the number of watches lost would have been 20, not 15," Ngoc Trinh recounted.
On the morning of March 30, Ngoc Trinh reported the incident to Thu Duc City Police, Ho Chi Minh City at the villa where she was living. The lost property was of great value, so Thu Duc City Police transferred the case and coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Police to verify. The results of the crime scene investigation and Ngoc Trinh's statement have not been made public.
According to initial information, the thieves took Ngoc Trinh's collection of luxury watches worth about 13 billion VND.
The villa where Ngoc Trinh lives has a large space reserved for storing luxury goods, including many billion-dollar watches. She lives with her assistant Thuy Kieu and a maid.
On the evening of March 30, Ngoc Trinh recounted the burglary in her house. However, unlike the sadness of someone who lost something, she wrote with a sense of both humor and anger.

Ngoc Trinh said she realized the thief had entered the house when she heard rustling sounds, but she was afraid of making a move, so she lay still and watched. When the thief waved the phone's flashlight around the room, through the curtains, she was very scared, she wanted to scream but couldn't, her whole body was stiff. She lay still, pretending to sleep, so the thief could go from the bathtub across the bed to the room where the designer goods were kept, then she jumped out of bed, rushed out and shouted.
After running downstairs, she called the two maids to open the door. But because she was so scared, one maid opened the door and heard the burglary and immediately closed the door, leaving Ngoc Trinh outside. After that, Ngoc Trinh and her assistant had to calm the maid down and let her into the room so that all three could hide. After entering the room, her assistant trembled and called the security guard for help.
Ngoc Trinh humorously wrote: "This is probably the funniest robbery story in District 9."
