(Baonghean.vn) - After a long fishing season, fishermen in Hoang Mai town (Nghe An) returned with the joy of a good catch of spotted fish.

Quynh Lap fishing port (Hoang Mai town) is bustling with boats returning with many spotted fish and anchovies.

The boat of Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh's family, Hop Tien village, Quynh Lap commune, has just returned after 10 days of fishing on Bach Long Vi island with nearly 20 tons of fish. He said that this year's Southern fishing season, fishermen mainly caught spotted fish and anchovies. In particular, spotted fish appeared densely, most boats achieved a yield of 15 tons/trip or more. On his boat there are 12 workers, excluding expenses, each worker earns over 10 million VND/person. After a few days of rest, the boat will continue its journey to the sea.

The entire Hoang Mai town has over 1,000 fishing vessels. Thanks to the replacement of small, old vessels with large capacity boats of 600CV or more, the exploitation output has been constantly increasing since the beginning of the year. Many boats have caught many large fish. In July alone, the aquatic exploitation output reached nearly 2,200 tons, and in the first 7 months of the year it reached nearly 17,000 tons.

Spotted fish arrived at the port fresh and delicious.

Currently, the price of anchovies purchased at the wharf is from 14 to 15 thousand VND/kg, and spotted fish is 11 thousand VND/kg. After the days off under the high moon, Hoang Mai fishermen have fully prepared fuel and necessities to continue their long journey to sea, exploiting seafood resources and increasing their family income.
