Readers of the British newspaper Daily Mail are excitedly discussing Russian President Vladimir Putin's vacation in Siberia.

Mr Putin spent the weekend in Tuva with Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu. They drove off-road vehicles and went hiking through the taiga. The defence minister also showed the president his workshop, where he carves dry trees into various handicrafts to his liking.

Many watching the video online appreciated Mr. Putin's weekend outdoors vacation.

“Some people call this an attempt to project an image of a healthy and strong leader who spends time outdoors in the fresh air, but I think he really is such a leader,” commented a netizen named PaperCutSurvivor.

"I don't like Putin, but I respect him. He's not a timid person. America lacks that courage right now. Sad times in life," Nothankuu admitted.

Some commentators also recalled US President Joe Biden's harsh words about the Russian leader, after which Mr. Putin invited his American counterpart to have a direct conversation, but the latter avoided answering.

"They should have invited Biden there," Swiss fondue joked about the incident.

"Wait a little longer and Joe will appear there in a wheelchair, which will scare them (Putin and Shoigu - editorial note) to death," nick Betascience humorously commented.

The recent incident with Mr. Biden, when he tripped several times while climbing the stairs of the Presidential plane, did not go unnoticed.

"While Putin is doing this(resting in the taiga), the so-called "leader of the free world" could not climb the stairs and almost fell face down several times," noted nick SilverIce.

"Meanwhile, Biden is wearing a protective mask, holding Zoom meetings from the basement of the White House, then drinking warm milk and going to bed at 8 p.m. We're all at a loss," commented user Olderandslower.

“Biden is using both hands to hold on to the handrails of life right now,” dai2000 commented metaphorically.
