DailymailOn August 21, the White House's "Director of Rapid Response," Andy Hemming, 31, resigned. The President's Office called this a "mutually agreed decision," raising questions about whether Mr. Hemming resigned or was fired.

Mr. Hemming’s job at the White House is to find positive information about the Trump administration on the internet, television, and radio and send it to a list of 1,000 reporters, congressional aides, and influential figures. The salary for this position is $89,000 a year.

According toPoliticoFor weeks, a White House network firewall had been blocking emails to too many recipients and blocking all of Mr. Hemming’s emails. But no one in the White House told him this.

It is unclear why Mr. Hemming left. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Politico: “This was a mutually agreed upon decision so that Hemming could help push the President’s agenda outward.”

According toDailymail,If Hemming takes a new job at the Trump-aligned PAC or something similar, he wouldn’t be the first to take that path. Former White House deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh left the White House in March to take a job at America First Policies, a non-profit organization that supports Trump’s policies.

Mr. Hemming served as a senior research adviser to the Republican National Committee during the 2016 election, a role similar to his White House duties. It is unclear whether Mr. Hemming’s departure is related to the White House staff review being led by newly installed White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.
