After the war, when she returned to her hometown, Ms. Lang Thi Than always struggled to find a way to develop her family's economy. What she was worried about was that the traditional occupations of the Thai people in her hometown were in danger of disappearing.
In particular, the Thai people in Don Phuc commune have a traditional wine-making profession, distilled from yeast made from leaves found in nature such as cardamom, monkey tree, mimosa... which have the effect of cooling and detoxifying.
To preserve and develop the traditional profession, Ms. Lang Thi Than has established 3 groups of yeast wine makers, thereby creating regular jobs for 16 women in the village. In addition to income from agricultural production, each month, from the traditional wine making profession, each member of the group has a monthly income of over 4 million VND.

In addition to restoring the craft of making fermented rice wine, she and her family reclaimed 4 hectares of hilly land to grow meters, combined with raising pigs and chickens. Thanks to diligence and hard work, after nearly ten years of hard work, her family's forest garden has begun to generate income. Currently, her family has also expanded the area of new meters and planted more than 5 hectares of hybrid acacia, raised goats, and dug ponds to raise fish. With the VACR model, her family has a stable income of over 100 million VND each year.
Besides being good at business, Ms. Lang Thi Than is also active in local social activities. From Deputy Secretary of the Commune Youth Union after leaving the army to the commune veterinary officer, Vice President of the Women's Union, the Commune Veterans Association and currently the Head of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers in the cluster of 5 communes: Don Phuc, Binh Chuan, Mau Duc, Thach Ngan, Chau Khe.

Not only does she enrich her family, she also helps many members of the association who are in difficult circumstances to develop their economy, such as lending capital, supporting livestock, and lending the association 1 hectare of forest land to plant acacia to raise funds for activities...
Ms. Le Thi Huyen - President of the Con Cuong District Veterans Association said: "Our district association continues to promote the shining example of Ms. Lang Thi Than for members to learn and follow so that no matter what the circumstances, the former Volunteers still maintain the good pioneering qualities inherent in young people, carry out well the emulation movement "Former Youth Volunteers vow to set a good example following Uncle Ho's teachings and Ho Chi Minh's moral example", contributing their efforts to the cause of building the homeland and the country".
