People caught yellow eels, traders asked to buy but did not sell
Mr. Hiep has been trapping eels for many years. The first time he caught an eel, it was about 35 cm long and weighed 100 grams.
On July 25, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hiep (35 years old, resident of Que Phu commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam) collected bamboo tubes - a type of trap made of bamboo or plastic tubes - and released them in a field near his house to catch eels the previous afternoon.

When he lifted the net up, Mr. Hiep discovered two eels inside. One looked like a normal eel, and the other was yellow-white.
The eel weighs nearly 100 grams, is 35 cm long and is very healthy. After bringing it home, many people asked to buy it but Mr. Hiep did not sell it.
Biologists believe that the golden eel is a branch of the eel family, and because it is rare, people rarely see it. Golden eels are considered a good food for people with high blood sugar and intellectual workers.
