Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CP issued by the Government officially took effect from November 15, applying fines for administrative violations in the health sector. In particular, Point a, Clause 1 of this Decree clearly states:
1. A fine of from VND 1,000,000 to VND 3,000,000 shall be imposed for one of the following acts:
a) Failure to implement personal protective measures for people participating in epidemic prevention and people at risk of contracting the epidemic according to the instructions of health authorities;
Previously, according to Decree 176/2013, the fine for this act was only from 100,000 to 300,000 VND. That is, the fine under Decree 117 has increased 10 times compared to Decree 176 (expired from November 15, 2020).
