Nghi Loc people turn to their fellow countrymen in the flooded areas of the Central region

Over the past week, many people in Nghi Trung, Nghi Hung, Nghi Yen, Nghi Xa, Phuc Tho communes... (Nghi Loc) have participated in making dried fish, roasting peanuts, collecting fish sauce, wrapping banh chung... to help people in the flood-hit areas of the Central region. From a few initial groups, the meaningful work has spread, attracting the participation of hundreds of people. All have the same wish to join hands to contribute to the Central region.

Being present in Nghi Hung commune, we felt the urgent atmosphere of the ladies, women, and women to complete each box of goods including instant noodles, rice, cooking oil, fish sauce... hoping that the people of the Central region would have a full meal and health to overcome difficulties. Ms. Ho Thi Thuong, Nghi Trung commune said: "Here, people who have contributed their labor, people who have contributed their strength, people who bring fish sauce, rice, people who call for medicine, books... we together prepare many necessities to send to the people in the flood areas. This is not a big thing, it is just human love. We share whatever we can, let's share...".

Ms. Ho Thi Mai shared: “At this time, when the lives of people in the flood-affected areas are gradually stabilizing again, the most essential things people are waiting for are still clean water, books, pots and pans, rice, food, medicine for daily life, to soon overcome difficulties after the flood has passed. In the coming time, people will continue to respond to support campaigns, all directed towards the beloved people of Central Vietnam.”

On the morning of October 24, the Nghi Loc District Relief Team mobilized 5 cars carrying pork, rice, instant noodles... to Quang Binh and Quang Tri; each truck of relief goods was worth more than 40 million VND on average. The members of the team directly providing relief shared that they wanted to go to the most remote and dangerous areas of Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts of Quang Tri province to deliver goods and necessities directly to the people, because the communes in remote areas, with remote terrain, far from the district center, so the people here are in great need.

Mr. Ho Nam - Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Nghi Loc District Fatherland Front Committee said: Recently, the reception of support for flood victims in the Central region in Nghi Loc has been through two organizations, the Fatherland Front Committee and the District Red Cross Society. Although the lives of Nghi Loc people are still difficult, the spirit of supporting flood victims is always boiling.

Organizations, agencies, businesses, and localities in Nghi Loc district have all registered to support the people of Central Vietnam through the district Fatherland Front Committee. Up to now, Nghi Loc district has supported the Nghe An province Fatherland Front Committee with 2 billion VND and 30 trucks of goods, each truck worth 30 - 40 million VND; in addition, many businesses and people have directly gone to Quang Tri with about 1 billion VND in cash and goods.

In response to the sincerity and affection of the people for the people in the flood-hit areas of the Central region, the District Relief Team will bring all goods and necessities donated by the people to the flood-hit people in a timely and prompt manner. Through this, the District Fatherland Front Committee also hopes that all officials and people of Nghi Loc District will continue to share, support, and turn to the people of the Central region when many difficulties and troubles still lie ahead./.
