Man injured while cutting tree in Nghi Loc has passed away

According to the victim’s family, on the afternoon of June 6, after being taken to Nghe An General Hospital, Mr. Luu Dinh Chuyen (59 years old) underwent abdominal surgery to save his life. However, the prognosis for the surgery was not high, because Mr. Chuyen was too seriously injured and before the accident, he himself had many illnesses.

After 3 days of intensive treatment, with no signs of improvement, Mr. Chuyen was brought home by his relatives on June 8. He passed away that same afternoon.

As reported, on the morning of June 6, the family of Ms. Dang Thi Tuat in Hamlet 10, Nghi Tien Commune organized to cut down trees in the hill garden to sell. At 10:30, while cutting down a large eucalyptus tree (base diameter about 0.4m), an accident occurred.

The tree cutting team consisted of 3 people, 2 people were in charge of sawing the tree, 1 person held the rope to guide the tree to fall. While pulling the rope, Mr. Luu Dinh Chuyen tripped over a wild tree in the garden and fell. At the same time, a eucalyptus tree had its roots cut off and fell on him, causing Mr. Chuyen to faint on the spot, blood soaked his clothes.

Immediately afterwards, Mr. Chuyen was quickly taken by his relatives to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. After examination, doctors said that Mr. Chuyen had a broken leg, broken pelvis, crushed internal organs, and internal bleeding.
