Man barricaded in home for hours after stabbing neighbor to death
Ly Van Dinh took a knife and stabbed his neighbor and went home to barricade himself for nearly 20 hours before being arrested by the police.
On July 22, Thai Nguyen Provincial Police said they were detaining Ly Van Dinh (60 years old, residing in Vo Nhai district) to clarify the act of Murder.

According to the police, due to previous personal conflicts,At around 4:40 p.m. on July 19, Dinh attacked Mr. Duong Van Linh (56 years old) and Mr. Duong Van Thanh (54 years old) with an axe in Dong Dong hamlet (Phuong Giao commune, Vo Nhai district). The fight left Mr. Linh seriously injured and Mr. Thanh dead on the spot.
After committing the crime, Dinh took the knife back to his house and barricaded himself in. Police arrived shortly afterwards to cordon off the scene and advised the suspect to surrender, but to no avail.
At around 10:30 a.m. on July 20, the Director of Thai Nguyen Provincial Police was present at the scene to direct the investigation. Early in the afternoon of the same day, the police stormed in and successfully subdued the suspect.
Police are investigating the incident.
