(Baonghean.vn) - People of Tho Hop commune, Quy Hop voluntarily donated more than 1,500m2Land for rural road construction with total length of more than 600m.

This is the inter-hamlet road of Tho Hop commune connecting from the intersection of National Highway 48C in Tho Son hamlet to Coc Mam hamlet, a hamlet that is always isolated during the rainy season. Every year, the people have to contribute bamboo to build bridges 4 to 6 times due to floods.

From November 2016 to December 2017, the state invested more than 18 billion VND in Coc Mam hamlet to build a bridge. This bridge is designed as a semi-overflow bridge with 16 spans, 105m long, 5.58m long, 7.5m wide.

During the propaganda campaign on the other side of the bridge, there were only 4 households who agreed to donate more than 100m.2to build the road. Tho Son hamlet alone has 17 households on the route that need to open roads and donate land.

During the campaign, we received the consent of typical residents such as the families of Mr. Nguyen Van Khue, Nguyen Van Tan, and Nguyen Thi Tiu. Currently, 15/17 households in Tho Son hamlet have agreed to donate land to open the road, 2m on each side, depending on the old roadbed passing through each household.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khue, Tho Son hamlet confided: "In the past, Coc Mam village suffered a lot. Floods and storms separated and isolated it from the outside world, so when they campaigned to build a road and bridge, I immediately agreed."

Along the entire route, 19 households in Tho Son and Coc Mam hamlets have cut down hundreds of valuable trees such as teak, mahogany, and donated more than 1,500 m2Land for the contractor to build Coc Mam bridge to pour concrete road according to new rural standards.

Therefore, the households agreed to support. Up to now, Tho Hop Commune has achieved 15 criteria and we strive for the commune to meet the new rural standards in 2018".

When the road is opened from Coc Mam bridge to Tho Son hamlet, it will help 134 households with more than 500 people on the other side of Dinh River escape the annual floods and welcome a new spring with lots of joy and new victories./.
