Trump campaign chief could face 80 years in prison
Donald Trump's election campaign chairman Paul Manafort could face up to 80 years in prison on money laundering charges.

Earlier on Monday, Manafort and his business partner Rick Gates were charged with 12 counts, including conspiracy against the United States and conspiracy to launder money. Prosecutors said Manafort and Gates received tens of millions of dollars to lobby Ukrainian interests between 2006 and 2015. They were found guilty of money laundering and violating laws on registering foreign companies.
According to the news agency, Mr. Manafort could face 80 years in prison, Mr. Gates - 70 years. In the near future, the defendants will appear in federal court in Washington. CNN reported that Mr. Manafort has arrived in court.
During the first session, the defendant denies his guilt, and the judge, after reading the crimes he will give the possible verdicts, and decide if the defendant is to be arrested or not.
