To open the "money chest", I invested more than 40 million VND, hired an excavator to work continuously for 5 days to open a road to the end of the meter forest, enough for large trucks to load and unload goods.

The entire meter forest is the Ho Tru area of ​​hamlet 10, Nghia Binh commune, before the 1990s it was a dense forest, but was cut down indiscriminately by humans, leading to the forest being exhausted. In 2003, he submitted an application to the District Forest Protection Management Board and the local government to contract for forest planting.

Each year, he invests in planting a little, after 6 years, the meter forest is closed. Mr. Phuong said: Meter trees are planted for 7 years before being harvested, so in previous years, he harvested from the bushes planted first, serving the needs of the people in the area. From this year, he has been exploiting on a large scale, so he has to consider professional exploitation and stable consumption. Therefore, all of the more than 20 workers who are setting up a camp on the spot to exploit meters for themselves are from Thanh Hoa. They undertake exploitation, combine output contacts, and consume the products.

The newly exploited trees were rushed down from the mountainside.

Thousands of m-long clumps on the mountainside, each clump has 15 or more trees, each tree is straight, with a diameter of 7-12 cm. Workers who exploit m-long trees choose trees that are 2 years old or older to cut, the requirement is to cut close to the root, ensuring that the neighboring trees are not affected, especially protecting the newly grown bamboo shoots. Each day, the exploitation team can harvest 1 thousand m-long trees.

Nearly 15 thousand m² of clumps, this time can exploit over 40 thousand trees, enough quantity for 40 cars, the "3-legged" type to transport. Count the trees and receive payment at the yard, with an average price of 15,000 VND/tree, so this year Mr. Phuong earned about 600 million VND from this "money chest".

Mr. Nguyen Ba Phuong said that big trees cost 20 thousand VND, the smallest trees cost 10 thousand VND.

Mr. Phuong said: Planting the meter to harvest the tree, absolutely do not exploit the bamboo shoots, pay special attention to grasshoppers biting the leaves, if you find a nest, spray pesticides immediately. Therefore, during the bamboo growing season, it is necessary to strictly protect and not allow people to exploit the bamboo shoots. The growth characteristic of the meter tree is that it produces bamboo shoots every year, so planting once can be exploited for many years. However, in the business process, we need to add fertilizer and hill up the base, so that the soil does not become infertile, the meter forest does not degenerate for a long time, and increase the biomass productivity of the meter forest.
