“President Putin has never refused (a meeting with Mr. Zelensky - TASS). However, for the meeting to take place, there must be a certain document prepared by the delegations of both sides. Not a set of ideas, but a specific text. Only then will it be necessary to hold such a meeting,” Mr. Peskov told Russia-1 TV channel on April 3.
When asked by reporters whether Russia can be sure that Ukraine will implement the new bilateral agreement, the Kremlin spokesman said: “We have experience with this (Ukraine's failure to fulfill its obligations - TASS), we remember it very well and act accordingly.”
Türkiye has recently talked about plans to hold a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on April 1 that holding such a meeting remains a priority for Ankara. However, Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said that it is difficult to set a specific date for the meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian leaders because the situation is constantly changing./.
