Woman suspected of being brutally murdered at home

On the morning of September 30, in My Thap hamlet (My Long Bac commune, Cau Ngang district, Tra Vinh province), Ms. Tran Thi So Van (59 years old) was discovered dead by local people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nuoi, ​​who lives in the same locality, said: that morning, he went to Mrs. Van's house to spray pesticides on the rice.

However, he knocked on the door and did not hear Mrs. Van answer, so he went inside to look for her. At this time, he discovered Mrs. Van lying dead on the floor.

The victim’s body was covered in a blanket, and blood was all around. There were no signs of any disturbance in the house. Around the scene, the forensic team discovered many brown stains suspected to be blood on the floor, chairs, and hammocks.

Locals said that Ms. Van lives with a son named Nguyen Minh Thang (17 years old) who has a mental disability.

Through a preliminary examination of the scene, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Ky, Head of the Criminal Police Department of Tra Vinh Province Police, stated that it was highly likely that this was a murder case. The police force is urgently investigating and clarifying the above incident.
