Relatives cried while welcoming the body of a sailor who had an accident at sea in Quang Binh back to his hometown.

At 3am this morning (September 16), the hearse carrying the body of sailor Tran Van Thien from Quang Binh arrived at his hometown (village 10, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district). As soon as the car stopped, Mrs. Tran Thi Han (victim's wife) and her children could not contain their grief, hugging the coffin, sobbing and calling out the names of her husband and father.

At 7:00 a.m. the same day, after completing the procedures, the Village Front Committee and the family held a funeral for the unfortunate crew member.

It is known that crew member Tran Van Thien has 4 children (3 females, 1 male), of which 2 daughters are married; and 2 grandchildren are of school age. The sudden passing of Mr. Thien - the main breadwinner in the family, has left the family with great grief.

Agencies and organizations of Quynh Luu district burned incense and expressed condolences to the victim's family.

Up to this point, only fisherman Dau Ngoc Cam (61 years old) has been confirmed dead and his body has not been found yet. At the place where the ship sank (Quang Binh), fishermen are still actively searching.

Previously, on the morning of September 5, the fishing boat with registration number NA 93010 TS, captained by Nguyen Van Thang (26 years old, residing in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An), was on its way back from Song Giang port (Quang Binh) when it was suddenly sunk by a large wave. At the time of the accident, there were 7 fishermen on board, of which 5 were rescued, 2 were confirmed dead.
