The man who accused the police of taking bribes was arrested for...giving bribes.
Dak Nong Provincial Police have conducted a search and executed an arrest warrant for Mr. Tran Minh Loi (who claimed to be "fighting internal invaders" on Facebook) for investigation.
On March 22, Colonel Luong Ngoc Lep, Deputy Director and Head of the Investigation Police Agency of Dak Nong Province Police, said that the agency had conducted a search and executed an arrest warrant for Mr. Tran Minh Loi (a self-proclaimed "fighting internal invaders" on Facebook, in Ea B'hok Commune, Chu Quynh District, Dak Lak Province) at his private home to investigate the act of bribery. According to Mr. Lep, Mr. Loi was arrested because he was an accomplice in the bribery case to get out on bail at Dak Mil District Police, Dak Nong Province earlier this year.
Regarding this incident, the Dak Nong Provincial Police Department has just initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused and temporarily detained Lieutenant Lanh Thanh Binh (working at Dak Mil District Police) to investigate the act of taking advantage of influence over people with positions and powers for personal gain. At the same time, Dak Nong Provincial Police has temporarily suspended Major Y Nam and Lieutenant Tran Thanh Hai (both working at Dak Mil District Police) for their involvement in this incident.

According to initial investigation, on January 15, Dak Mil District Police arrested 6 people gambling in Thuan An Commune, Dak Mil District. While Dak Mil District Police were handling the case, Binh contacted the gamblers’ families to suggest that they pool money to bail out the suspects.
After that, a relative of the gambling group gave 60 million VND to Binh and was promised by Binh that he would arrange for the defendants to be released on bail. However, Binh's bribe-taking behavior was secretly recorded by the gamblers' families as evidence.
On January 18, the gamblers’ families provided this evidence to Mr. Tran Minh Loi and asked him to expose Binh’s crimes. By the end of February, Mr. Loi had denounced and provided evidence of Binh’s actions to the authorities.
On March 18, the Dak Nong Provincial Police Department also issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain Huynh Cao Tri (born in 38 years old) and Nguyen Xuan An (born in 31 years old); prosecute the accused and prohibit leaving the place of residence for Truong Thi Lan (47 years old) and Nguyen Thi Ti (56 years old, both living in Thuan An commune, Dak Mil district) for bribery. These 4 people are relatives of the gamblers arrested by Dak Mil District Police on January 15.
Mr. Tran Minh Loi, who claims to be a "fighter against internal invaders" on Facebook, has denounced many corruption cases of state officials in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces. Many cases that Mr. Loi denounced have been handled and resolved by the authorities. According to Dak Nong Provincial Police, Mr. Loi was involved in this case by giving bribes to film./.
