Khe Bo and Chi Khe Hydropower Plants regulate water in hydropower reservoirs.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense has just issued urgent notice No. 129 on the operation and regulation of water at Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir.
At 20:19 on July 30, 2024, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 195 from Khe Bo Hydropower Plant on the operation and regulation of water in the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant reservoir to ensure the safety of the project.
To ensure the safe regulation of water in Khe Bo Hydropower Plant's reservoir according to the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, Khe Bo Hydropower Plant plans to operate and regulate water in Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of spillway discharge:At 01:00, July 31, 2024.
Discharge flow:Total discharge from about 500m3/s to 1000m3/s (discharged through the generators and through the spillway) and may vary depending on the water flow to the lake.
Time to end water discharge through spillway:Until the water flow to the lake is less than the electricity generation flow through the generators.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs the People's Committees of the districts: Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen and Vinh city; Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Road Management Area II to inform the authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the area downstream of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant to carry out necessary tasks, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and people.

Estimated time of spillway discharge:At 02:30, July 31, 2024.
Discharge flow:Total discharge volume is about 506m3/s to 1,000m3/s (including the discharge flow through the spillway and the generation flow through the generator) and may change depending on the water flow to the lake.
Time to end water discharge through spillway:Until the water flow to Chi Khe lake is equivalent to the electricity generation flow through the generators.
