They also use social relationships, relatives, neighbors, etc. to take advantage of economic difficulties, gullibility, and trust of victims to trick and sell people abroad. They deceive and entice women with unwanted pregnancies, women with difficult family circumstances to illegally go abroad to sell fetuses, or give birth and sell newborn babies.

Or they use social networking sites to get acquainted, pretend to love, make friends to broker illegal foreign marriages or control and threaten victims, then sell them abroad. In addition, they alsoenticement, luring people who need to export labor with low costs, high salaries, simple procedures, organizing illegal exit abroad, then selling them for forced labor... Especially at the present time, human trafficking criminals are taking advantage of the difficult economic situation due to the epidemic to commit crimes.

More dangerously, with many tricks and methods to deceive the victims, these subjects easily lure or organize the victims to escape from their families, hide information from relatives and authorities, go to the location they request and then trick the victims into selling them across the border or to other provinces for sale. This causes a lot of difficulties for the authorities in the process of detection and fight. In reality, many victims do not even know that they are being tricked into human trafficking rings.

In Nghe An, in the first 6 months of 2021, the police force coordinated with the Blue Dragon Children's Organization and functional forces of provinces and cities bordering China to rescue, receive, and provide initial support to 08 women and children.Nghe An police force alone discovered, investigated, clarified and arrested 07 cases.,10 subjects related to human trafficking crimes. Of which: Human trafficking: 05 cases, 07 subjects, related to 05 victims. Child trafficking (trafficking of people under 16 years old): 02 cases, 03 subjects, related to 02 victims. In addition, the police force discovered, rescued, and brought back to Vietnam 01 case, 03 pregnant women from Ky Son district who went to China with the intention of giving birth and then selling the child to Chinese people..

Resolutely fight and prevent

Identifying its core mission and role in the fight against crime, Nghe An Police has proactively developed plans and directed local units to seriously and effectively implement the fight against human trafficking crimes.

Typically, in December 2020, Ky Son District Police broke a case, arresting Ven Thi Thuy, born in 1992, residing in Pha Khao village, Pha Danh commune (Ky Son) for human trafficking. Previously, in 2014, Thuy colluded with a subject who married a Chinese man to trick and sell 03 women, all residing in Bac Ly commune, to China. In January 2021, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police presided over and coordinated with Que Phong District Police to break a case, arresting Sam Van Bien, born in 1984, and Lang Thi Xuan, born in 1983, both residing in Quang Phong commune, for human trafficking. Previously, in 2014, these subjects tricked and sold 01 woman residing in Quang Phong commune (Que Phong) to China. And most recently, in April 2021, Tuong Duong District Police broke up a case, arresting Cut Van Xuc, born in 1991, and Lu Van Dung, born in 1983, both residing in Dinh Son 1 village, Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, for human trafficking. Previously, in 2014, Xuc, Dung, and another subject, all residing in Dinh Son 1 village, Huu Kiem commune, tricked and sold a woman residing in Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district, to China.

In addition to detecting and fighting crimes, the two-level investigation agency in Nghe An Police has also received and resolved 100% of denunciations and crime reports on human trafficking, doing a good job of investigation, not letting criminals escape. In the first 6 months of 2021, the two-level Investigation Police Agency investigated, clarified, and prosecuted 07 cases, 10 suspects of human trafficking, trafficking of people under 16 years old, trafficking of children...

Nghe An police have also investigated, clarified, and prosecuted 1 case, 2 subjects for "Organizing illegal exit for others"; 1 case, 4 subjects for "Organizing illegal entry or stay in Vietnam for others". Verified and clarified 3 cases, 7 subjects suspected of organizing illegal exit. Coordinated with the Border Guard force to prosecute 1 case, 3 suspects for the crime of "Organizing illegal exit for others"...

Along with the fight against crime, the police force also coordinated to deploy more than 30 propaganda campaigns to prevent and combat human trafficking, focusing on key areas such as Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Con Cuong, Que Phong, Quy Chau... attracting more than thousands of people to participate. Coordinated to organize dozens of meetings to advise, encourage, and help victims of trafficking to reintegrate into the community and stabilize their lives.

In the coming time, Nghe An Police will continue to strengthen the implementation of the peak of attacks and suppression of crimes, including human trafficking crimes in key routes and areas.
