Lottery troupe employee kills man, flees with gay singer

After being complained by a drinking buddy, a lottery employee in the West grabbed a knife from the bar and stabbed him to death, then fled with his gay lover.

On November 22, Can Tho City Police temporarily detained Nguyen Quoc Binh (21 years old) and his gay lover Nguyen Trung Hieu (25 years old,Stage name Lan Anh) to investigate the acts of Murder and Concealment of Crime.

According to initial investigation, Hieu is a singer of a lottery troupe in Long Xuyen City (An Giang), and Binh is an employee of this troupe. Last week, the troupe went to Thanh Quoi Commune, Vinh Thanh District (Can Tho City) to perform.

On the evening of November 20, due to rain, the group temporarily stopped, and the two and other staff members organized a drinking party. Near midnight, Mr. Pham Tuan Phong (36 years old, local) drove by and was invited to join the fun.

While drinking, a conflict arose with Mr. Phong, Binh pulled out a knife and stabbed him, causing the victim to die.before going to the hospital.

After committing the crime, Binh took his lover on a motorbike and fled. The singer of the lottery troupe repeatedly misled the investigation agency. By yesterday afternoon, Binh and Hieu were arrested while hiding in Co Do district.
