FBI agent marries IS terrorist instead of investigating

A female FBI agent assigned to the investigation against a member of the terrorist group "Islamic State" went to Syria and married the terrorist, CNN reported.

FBI interpreter Daniela Green lied to agency leadership about her intended travel and alerted her husband, Denis Caspert, to the investigation. Green has been married to Denis Caspert since 2014, but the media has just learned this information.

According to CNN, a few weeks after Green admitted her mistake and returned to her home country, she was arrested by the police. Daniela Green agreed to cooperate with the authorities and was sentenced to two years in prison. She was released last summer.
